Wrote this at about the age of 14. It's all that's
left of what was to be a ballet based on a Wilde
story "The Nightingale and the Rose"

A loving song for my wife
For my brother Charles who
loved the tango. He is the cello
As written for my niece Donna.
Charley Brighton heard it - transcribed
it and performed it - and I started
writing for the Euphonium and other
brass
Just a love song that happened.
Even wrote words.
Fooling around with some rhythm
samples - my wife liked them - so
I wrote this piece with them.
