My name is Joe Miserendino. I am retired and have been seriously writing music since 2000. All my life I have been in love with music
but never had a chance to pursue it.
I have written for a variety of solo instruments especially Euphonium, Tuba and Cello - but also Bassoon, Oboe and Contrabass. Also
various brass and wind ensembles - Orchestra, Brass Band and Symphonic Winds.
Comments and reviews can be read here and ITEA reviews here. Some live performances can be heard here.
Publishing: Scores and parts are available from me or a publisher. Works have been published by several publishers as well as on my
own. If you click on the price or "order" located near a piece you will be linked to the right place. There are also free pieces to be had.
As of August 2006 I had filled better than 5,000 requests for music.
Current Publishers: Brassworks4 - Solid Brass Music Company - BVD Press - Wehr's Music House - MMI Publishing
Live performances: In 2005 Summer Celebration was performed by Charley Brighton - Solo Euphonium and String Orchestra - with the
Nonesuch Orchestra in London. In 2006 Charley performed the Symphonic Band version of the Willson Concertante with the City of
London Winds with John Andrews conducting. You can read about it and hear it live here. A number of other works have also been
premiered by Charley including some low brass quartets.
Audio: The music can be heard in the pages that follow mostly MP3 files. .
Networking: Really enjoy "meeting" and talking with the many other amateur and professional aspirants out there. I have made many
friends around the globe through the Internet and email. I've exchanged ideas and music with people in New Foundland, Sweden,
England, Tacoma, Scotland, Hungary, Grenada, Yugoslavia, etc.
I have been very fortunate to get connected with Charley Brighton in England, principal Euphonium for the B.B.C. (Elstree) band and
Performing Soloist for The Willson Company. He also performs with many other musical groups he has founded and directs . Charley
and his associates have performed a number of my pieces over the past few years.
Other stuff: I have also gotten interested in creating slide shows and videos and writing music to accompany the shows. The one I did
for my daughter's wedding was a big success with the family (of course).
As a hobby I collect conductor scores for symphonic and operatic works. These are of course student and Dover editions and
miniature scores.
